There's a helpful book I bought from Chapters a while back. It's called "How to choose the sex of your baby". You have to follow everything pretty closely, but apparently if you do you have an 85% chance of having a baby of the sex you would like. Good Luck!

You have the exact same chance as anyone else of conceiving a boy. 50/50. There isn't anything you can do short of going to a fertility clinic and having them separate all the X and Y chromosomes from your husband's sperm, and then implanting only the Y's. It is true that if you have sex more often around the time of ovulation that you could be more likely to get a boy, but it's not a for sure thing.
What others have said about Y sperm being faster than X sperm is true. Conceiving in certain parts of the year, eating certain things, and having sex in certain positions are all old wive's tales. I'm pregnant now with my 3rd boy and he was conceived in late spring, he's due in January. So have at it like rabbits and maybe you'll get lucky! =) Good luck!!

I tried many "old wives tales" & home remedies because I very much wanted to have a daughter after I had my son, but none of them worked.
Although I did an internet search & found a fertility agency in Nevada that will take a sperm sample from your man & spin it in a centrafuge.
Apparently the slower, larger sperm which are usually female carriers, will sink further to the bottom, while the male carrier sperm, which are supposed to be lighter & quicker foat closer to the surface.
After they spin the sperm & it is separated under some type of micoscope & then of course artifically transplanted.
The separation of sperm is 92% accurate, according to them & costs $400.00 for the separation process & I'm sure the insemination is extra. I don't remember if they will freeze the sperm & allow you to take it home so you can implant the sperm on your own or not.
The law varies from state to state, so this may not be allowed in your home state.
I hope I could help. Good Luck!! Baby boys are a joy!!

ok, i have one girll then 2 boys. i had many orgasms before during and after while conceiving boys as it created more acid environment and as xy (boy) sperm swim faster than xx (girl) sperm this increases the chances of concieving a boy, so those that want a girl dont come for 2 weeks!

They say that boys are conceived from sperm that are at the front of the pack so to speak and that girls come from sperm that were a little slower (you know the whole slow and steady thing). It is suggested that if you want a boy to try and conceive a lot closer to your ovulation. Don't know if this really works.

Boy sperm swim faster but also die faster. The girl sperm swim much slower but live longer. So, if you have sex a few days before you ovulate, it will only be the girl sperm that are still around. Make sure you have sex a lot when you will be ovulating. The likelihood of having a boy will increase but nothing is fool-proof!

Rumour has it that if you conceive in winter its more likely to be a boy because then they are born in summer, something about boys not being as hardy as girls. This isn't a dig at boys, I read it somewhere!
Altho of course my daughter was born in june so go figure!!!
