i have a verizon dsl connection. i have 1 laptop. what i need to know what do i need to do wireless internet.

It depends on where you're going to use it. Will you use your laptop at the kitchen table? In the living room? In your bedroom? You won't need a wireless connection if you're always going to be in the same spot. It is handy when you want to have the flexibility and freedom of moving around the house and using the internet. Are there others in your household that will use the internet connection too? Wireless would allow you to all be on and you can share the connection. You can share a printer the same way.

theyre a pain tbh because it doesnt always connect if it isnt in range llol

All you need is...
Wireless router
wireless adapter for laptop(unless built in)
external adapter gets better range
also to secure it
and hook it all up and ur done.
