who would'nt take the oath of office on March 4, because it fell on a Sunday, and for one day, we, in effect didn't have a President. Does anyone know that circumstance and events?

Presidents always took the Oath of Office on March 4th (until it was changed to January 20).

But, if Inauguration Day fell on a Sunday, then they would take the oath in a private ceremony and take another oath in a public ceremony on the next day.

I believe Ronald Reagan did that in 1985, the last time it happened.
