My guess hes got tired of working on tv. How many shows has he make already? The fans pushed another couple of seasons. but he had to retired some time. He still appears on season 10. You can tell the difference.. he looks older and is not in great shape... still he rocks. I love his sense of humor and how he mocks carter when she talks about science nano stuff. I wish they will not cancel the series. I just started withdrowal symthomps.

I haven't been watching in a while but was interested to see what happened. I went to the website but they didn't seem to be saying, or at least anywhere that I saw.
