I've always been afraid of getting lost while driving alone (I'd really like to take a road trip alone, but this is why I haven't), and I'm also afraid of driving on really steep hills...

I was just plain terrified to drive. I was scared of crashing into someone or someone crashing into me. I was scared of being pulled over, getting stranded, lost, flat tires... everything.
I was so much afraid of this - that I barely learned to drive now at the age of 22. Now having driven I really wish I could go back in time and kick myself in the butt for never giving it a try sooner.
I say, just drive... either what you're afraid is going to happen, or it's not, nothing you can do about it - don't let it stop you from getting out there.

I have the hardest time turning left I do it usuly I have to scream and say some thing like "YES I HAVE A PLACE IN THE UNIVERS AND THIS IS IT" I was in two left hand turn crashes as a passenger so if you are wondering no! you are not along squar your sholders now and do it just to prove it dosn't rule you!

I am terrified of bridges! I have literally driven across bridges with my eyes closed. The River Gorge Bridge in WV is bad, as is the Chesapeake Bay Bridge...scary!

yes, i know a couple people that are. just like there's people afraid of going on airplanes...i know some people who have a license but are scared to drive...my advice would be to try and go someplace near your house (alone), slowly start driving further and further...u know it'll take time but have confidence in yourself and u can do it.
