My site is written in Flash. Also, how much is realistic to pay for pay-per-click adverts for a small business?

Go to the Google adsense site and ask them - they are very helpful. There is a link on one of the pages on my site - it says this site supports Google adsense or something like that - click that and go to the adsense site. Incidentally, flash is nice - but not all users can access it - also Google bots have trouble with it - so no criticising my little site - I have a couple of counters that say it's doing OK for a 15 MB site run by someone who doesn't know what they're doing! lol

Professionalism is key. Optimizing your website is more than just adding keywords and descriptions to pages. It is from the bottom up. Your website design is essential to placement. Your navigation system is key - your content is key - and from what I've studied, search engines don't care very much for flashy, fancy flash. Just trying to be honest with you. I would be more than happy to take a look at what you have and let you know more based on design & layout essentials. Send me an e-mail at sales@bugon.com if interested.

Hi There first off i think if you want to learn site design yourself your best off with Macromedia Dreawmeaver/Flash/Fireworks i started as a beginner learnt myself and continue to learn although i realise this is expensive software. (Dont I know it!!) You're better off first trying a 30 day trial of STUDIO http://www.adobe.com/go/trystudio which includes flash etc. if you didnt want to spend the full price on the software try ebay or a auction site which could offer a used boxed copy of the software but your better off getting your own set.

As for adverts im afraid i havent a clue personally i think "advertising" using banenrs and popups lets the experience down i wouldnt bother with it personally. You could always find other ways of generating extra revenue.

As for help with flash try this site with lots of tutorials :
http://www.kirupa.com i use this site for help with flash and have learnt quite alot.

Hope something here will be helpful.
Good Luck.

build a web site that works
act upon the fundamental reality
of the way people use the web

Online, the fundamental reality of how people use the Web is different. No one "passes by." They search for "information, information, information."
