Good storytelling captivates people. I think anything that encourages kids to read absolutely should be embraced.

Its such a brilliant and consuming story, (sucked me into rock bottom and still captivating me after 5 years) whether you like the movies/books or not, give JK some credit: she was rubbing two pennies together and now one of the richest women in the UK with an imagination to give the greatest authors of all time a run for their money. The stories make you feel like there's so many things you really can achieve, despite having all odds against you.

Because J.K. Rowling is one of those rare inspirational literary genious authors. She has created a world that children can explore. A world in which reality is ignored and a child can embrace a fictional world, a world of intrigue, a world of magic and excitment. I have to also say I am 22 in a few weeks and have read the book a million times. I adore them, they are exceptional. She is on par with Roald Dahl and Enid Blyton.

well, there is a lot to harry potter that meets the eye..we watch him started as a young boy wizard until he got older on the series..the movie itself is breathtaking and magical but should not be watched by smaller children alone due to the graphic nature of the film, can be scary to them if not understood..the story as a whole is okay though..thumbs up for j.k rowling..

Because they are good storys which are easy to get ingrossed in. They deal with some basic subjects like good and evil and then alot more compilcated ones too. I love getting lost in the books and leaving my life behind.

They're good stories, well-told, with an escape from real life that's grounded in the way people really are.
