I know everybody will say they are very important, but think about it twice, will you? I mean, in comparison to love and career, how important are they? I don't feel they really fit in the top 3 of the most important things in my life, because there is no such thing as a "good friend", at least I haven't found any. To be a good friend is a give and take relationship, but it's not often that people understand that. That's why I believe they are not so important. What do you think?

I honestly believe that the more your marriage is shaking - the more friends you need.
Most really, happy, loving couples have very few friends.

My friends are very important to me. They're almost number one on my top 3 list of the most important things in MY life. I've known my best friend since 6th grade and we're Juniors in High School and we've been friends ever since. I was lucky that I was able to find a friend like her that I'm still friends with. I see all these people that I thought were really good friends.. but years later, they're mad at each other for some petty reasons. And if you ask how I know that I'll still be friends with her after high school... I just know. I've known her long enough to know that she's one of those people I could lean and count on and that we'll keep in touch if she goes in a different direction.
To be able to call somebody "important" to you means a lot. To be able to call someone important means that they've changed your life in ways that you didn't even see coming... and that they've been there for you no matter what the case was and will always be on the look out for you. For me... without the friends I have now, I don't think I'd be the person I am now. They've seriously changed my ways of thinking and how to look at life in a way that some people dont.. optimistically.

family (which includes my boyfriend) and friends are the most important things in life for me. i don't agree on your idea that "there is no such thing as a 'good friend' ." however, not all friends are true friends. these types of friends are the ones i'd never let go of. choose your friends wisely. don't let them choose you. friends are like diamonds in the rough. you gotta go through a lot of people to find them. when you finally find such friends, treasure them forever.

Sure they are very important , but the most important is the real friends << are they really exist???? hopefully yes

I believe a friend is as important to me, as I am to them. I have friends that I speak to daily who live 50 miles from me, and I have friends whom I speak to monthly that live 5 miles away from me. I understand that they also have different lives, and they may prioritize their relationships and life issues in certain ways, so I have to live with that.

well i think that friends are important cause sometimes parents sre not the best people to talk to about stuff and if there is something that you dont want to tell them you can rely on your friends

my friends are my entire life. if it wasnt for them iwould have done killed myself. my friends talk to me when im sad. they keep me out of fights when im ready to just freaking kill someone and they got me my lovely boyfriend. the way i figure it i cant talk to anyone else about my problems. so yes they are x-tremly important to me
