ok... so i was looking thru this book bout computers and it says to declutter your desktop of icons, so I went ahead and deleted almost everything cept Internet Explorer.. and microsoft word and such. so i go to the recycle bin and i have a TON of stuff there, so i click EMPTY RECYCLE BIN, thinking "i have iTunes in there, but i mean, i can always bring it back from the START launcher thing, rite?" the problem is, i just finished deleting everything and went ahead, clicked START, and clicked on iTunes. but it says "we can't find any files marked iTunes."
am i doomed? (plz dont call me stupid..) will i have to import all my music ALL OVER AGAIN??!?! i mean, i had like 500 songs in there... SOMEBODY PLZ HELP!!!!

Try downloading iTunes and reinstalling it. It is very likely that your music collection is not deleted.

Your music should probably still be there...go to your "My Music" folder to check - or wherever you keep your music. Then you just have to reinstall iTunes and re-add the files into iTunes - but that will only take a couple of minutes.

By the way, when you declutter your desktop of icons, make sure you only delete the ones with the arrows on them (those are shortcuts) - the ones without the arrows are actual programs - I suspect you accidentally deleted some programs.

do a search for one of your songs, when you find it click on it and itunes should open it. If not then maybe itunes wasn't your default player, so right click it and open with itunes
