Ah..the ultimate question of what happens after we die. Is there a heaven or hell, purgatory, nirvana, limbo...etc.? Nobody knows.
The christians religious folks will say you have to do this and do that to get to heaven. The Muslim religious folks will say you have to blow yourself up or some other type of crap to get to sit by allah's side.
Should we really care what happens...after all, this consciousness will not know the difference?

Me...I'd like to think that the next step is a huge party. The best food in a great big spread with all the people you liked in your life hanging out. Jimmy Hendrix, Janice, Jim Croce, Buddy Holley and the rest of the greats....all will be there jammin' thier asses off! Unlimited beer on tap and an open bar.

Your earthly body will return to the dust that it was created with. If you check with a chemist, your body compounds are the same chemical make up as the soil on the ground. But you have another body to be concerned with. Your spiritual body. Humans were created with a spirit and soul. It is totally up to you, your choice of free will that decides your final place. The two choices are an eternal death separated from your higher power or A spiritual rebirth, an eternity with God or in a different life altogether. Who says that Your Higher Power will not permit you to live another life sometime in the future. We did not just happen. Look at our perfect world and our perfectly constructed bodies. Not a chance it just happened. There is a Higher Power.

First, you have to ask yourself if you believe in life after death. If you don't, i guess that's the end of it, but if you do, then you will eventually end up in heaven. All you have to do is show compassion to others, love, and forgive. It doesn't matter what your faith is, as long as you are loving to others, you will end up in heaven. Don't worry about hell; God loves you and will forgive you no matter what. You only need to forgive yourself and others. And even if there is no heaven, try and do your best to make the world a better place. It makes you feel warmer inside.

Actually, there are cases where people were pronounced dead but those AED machines pump them back to life. I suppose you can ask them where they were during that brief moment.
