By adding the prefix "la" to "jesta", you are refferring to a spanish word.

During the so-called Spanish "Golden Age", the jestas or gestas, were usually songs and writings of chivalrous doings, such as El Cid chants or the expelling of the moors from Spain.

Those writings are usually named altogether as "Cantares de Jesta" or "Jesta's Singings".

Jesta is a type of goat in New England. Other than that, your guess is as good as mine.
