It's a dreadful situation to be in. I was abused myself on one occasion. It's a very personal decision you have to make and you should be wary of people's advice if they don't really understand your situation.

I was never sexually abused, but I was punched in the head a lot by my Dad (my mother often saw it happen and would leave the room) and I was put down a lot; i.e. told that I was no good, waste of space, an embarrassment, etc) which may have been emotional abuse, by both parents.
I never told anyone because I taught it was my fault.
I have only realize it was wrong since having my own daughter and I considered what I would do if someone treated her like that. I would kill them.

There is ALWAYS somebody out there who will listen and help a person that is being abused. No one deserves to be mistreated no matter how guilty they feel about themselves. Sometimes a person doesn't tell because the person that is abusing them is someone they love and they don't want that person to be in trouble. It is a hard situation to be in. But the abuse MUST STOP NOW!! I would tell someone and so should you.....

yes because its a bad situation i have not been and hope never to be. but u should tell becaue u would need help and would want someone to help u along.
