School was a long, long time ago, but how about
max x=18 y=1
min x=5 y=7

Wow it's been a long time. I graduated in 1998. But I'll give it a go.

x=5 y=10

5+10=15 15<20
10+30=40 40>30
-5+10=5 5<10
x=5, y=10 5>0, 10>0
