Because i think we are....the U'S. needs a change here. WHo knows, maybe a women in the whitehouse would be better, we can't tell for sure yet until it happens! I dont think men saying "Women are more emotional and can't be in office" thats just wrong. Because yes, most women are emotional towards a lot of things...but there are a lot of stronger women out there who i think can run the U.S. Did you know that the strongest (physically) person on the planet is a female? yes, a female, not a male. That proves that women can do just as good as men in many different things..... I hope Hilary Clinton can win this election.

No. (sorry!!!) I don't think we are ready for female president; and here is why: Today's male society don't visualize a women giving them orders. Second, we are very emotional (At least more that most man) and sometimes to get answers we need more that emotions!!! Third, She wouldn't have much support from congress or senated because as you can recall most are compose of males... However I do think we are ready for a female vice president (less heat) so people start to accept the idea that maybe in the near future she might become the commander in chief.

I don't know what is the big deal behind the fact that it has to be a female. If the PERSON can be a good president based on merit, why not, regardless of the sex of that person. If Hilary Clinton can do a better job than George Bush, then make her president, but not just because there is a sentiment towards a female president for the next presidential run.
Just think how useless Hilary will feel if she only gets chosen because she is a female.

I'm not sure if our country is ready for a female president, but I am sure they are ready for a qualified President. If it is in fact a women, then so be it. Additionally, let's take a moment on the whole women make decisions based on emotions argument. I think everyone makes decisions based on emotions. Regardless of male or female. You don't think Bush was pretty damn emotional when he declared that we would stop at nothing to get those terrorists. Men may express their emotions differently than women, but they make their decisions based on emotions, just like we do.

Yes the American people are ready for a woman president. Yes there are a few that I would vote for, Hillary Clinton leads them all.
No, there are no women right now, who would get enough votes to win.

You prove the point that women are emotional. you want a woman elected and don't mention any political issue or position. I don't want to have a woman as Pres just because she is a woman. I think that as long as there is a man that is willing and able to be president and is able to portray that to American affectively, it will continue to be a "mans" job... Only when we have a Woman runs against a man that can not portray a good and reasonable ablity to run this country will she win!

I dont think a woman would be any better or worse than a man. We in the UK elected Margaret Thatrcher she certainly didn't make things better.
