When does Jack go to the toilet?
When does Jack eat?
When does Jack drink?
How come most people never look tired, even though they haven't had sleep for more that 24 hours?
How come jack almost died of a heart attack in series two, and yet looks fresh in the other series. (Ok I know he's addicted to drugs in series 3 but still.)

He goes to the toilet during the commercials.
If you have ever been to a television shoot, you know they feed those actors very well.
He drinks during the scenes he's not in.
When very involved in high pressure situations, adrenaline is a potent stimulant.
It would take much more than a heart attack to slow Jack Bauer down even a little.

in one of the series he is seen going into the toilet
they are not always on screen for all the time so they can sneak off for a coffee and a snack - and they have always got the commercial breaks as well
and most people can go without sleep for a day - even though they have not been shot at or drugged or kidnapped onto a Chinese boat ... lol
(some work 24 hour shifts and still go out for a drink after work)
some people heal a lot quicker than others
remember that it is only a TV show - and for us it takes 24 shows to see what happens when it could be watched in a day on DVD
but then again it has been one of the best shows to watch recently

Where does any TV character take a dump for that matter? Do you think Jack plays that IQ brain game on Nintendo DS Lite? He would probably play '24 The Game'.
If you notice, each episode is actually only about 45 minutes long, this leaves ample time for Jack to take a quick dump, grab a sandwich and a drink, and put on fresh make-up.

In Series 4, at 5.45pm, when in Audr'y Raines Husband Hotel Room 405, Jack actually goes to the bathroom!

Who would want to spend precious 24 minutes watching the characters fulfill their daily needs? For instance, if Jack is eating or using the bathroom, it's not as interesting as his daughter's situation at the same time.

CTU have a special computer that freezes time for viewers and bad guys, and allows Jack and the better looking members of the cast to "freshen up"( and reload their weapons of course!) then unfreezes to allow Jack to kick some terrorist ***!
