I am in band, but so are many "popular" people. I listen to country, so do other people that have more friends, I spend alot of time withmy pets, cause i dont live near ANY other kids of any age. I'm kinda a tomboy cause i LOVE to play sports, but I still dress nice and everything. I'm getting all a's, but that isn't a big deal, and I really love disney movies like the nightmare before christmas, and old yeller, and the lion king etc. What would you say?

The "friends" that i have also say i am too nice. Like, I cant stick up for myself with comebacks, cause i dont want to, or i wont make people pay me back when i buy them something small at lunch. i figure we need more nice people here.

Judgemental.

people use the word dork as if it has a negative connotation. Do you feel like you are a dork by what other people think of you?

If you dont do things other people do, then dont care what they think. If you like what you are doing, then keep doing it. However, if you feel like you want to do something out of your own want (not what other kids want from you) then go out and do them.

there is nothing wrong with who you are. It's a shame more people can't be that way. I think that Everyone is just way too judgemental. But in school you will always have that problem and for some reason people think that if they are mean or can just really hurt someones feelings they are cool because people laugh. don't stoop to that level. your friends should be proud to have an honest person to rely on! keep your head up. There's this quote in Never Been Kissed "There's a great big world out there.. and it won't matter if you were the most popular girl, the quarterback of the football team, or the nerdiest kid in school.Find out who you are and try not to be afraid of it!"-Drew Barrymore You seem like a very sweet and considerate person... be thankful for that=)

nah ur not a dork. i think people saying you are ... are the insecure ones. they're not sure what they like or want and so when they see someone who goes for what they like or knows what they want they get intimidated or shaken up by something they've never seen or experienced. They mock and tease the unknown. Stick with ur passions and do what you like. In the end bro that's all that matters. Dont worry about it to much what people think. If it makes you feel better, its embarrassing but i was voted "Most Popular" back in highschool. Stupid awards back in school now that I think about it but even then everything u expressed that u liked i actually liked and although I didnt boast and mention it to everyone I had no shame admitting it if people asked. I love animals and had many pets, i listened to all kinds of music and that opend my mind and appreciation, playing sports wasn't my forte but i still was good at it, and heck yah I LOVE DISNEY MOVIES. i'm 28 and still love it. NO shame here.

Keep doing what ur doin.

I say you are ME when I was younger. I love to do all of the things you are doing. Even now as I am older and have kids of my own I do like to watch Disney with them and I do spend quality time with my pets also. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you are not a dork. And YES people can be judgemental when they don't understand who you are as a person. You sound smart kind and very athletic. So what!!! Be who you are and as for the rest of them, they can either like it or don't. The ones who don't, you don't have to deal with them.

I dont get this whole nerd/geek/dork crap. In fact I hate it, some of my friends who are "dorks" are better friends than the popular people I hang out with. My advice would be to just be yourself, maybe you could join a club/group you are interested in and make friends with those people. And if that doesnt work just remember that most so called dorks come out a whole lot better in life than the popular kids.

Being nice isn't a flaw. It's who you are. if your friends can't see what a special person that makes you than they really arn't your friends. I give money away all the time without asking for renumeration. Be you, don't be who other people tell you to be.

You are a good wholesome person that doesn't fit the mold of what they think makes a person cool. You would probably be more fun to be friends with than those fake people any-day.
