It appears to be a butterfly larvae, but I'm not sure. It has about 12 legs and I found it when I transplanted my bleeding heart.

That is a tomato worm. They eat the leafs and leave nothing but the stalks. Kills the plants. Make sure you dust your plants real good. That will take care of them. They are hard to find. They look like the tomato stalk. Good Luck!!

I dont know, but whatever you do, dont keep it in an inclosed area, caterpillers tend to bang their heads on the side of their cages until they are dead. They are suicidal in other words.

Try www.whatsthatbug.com. They have lots of caterpillars with descriptions and photos and you might find yours there.
