I think it can. Because brain also needs energy to work. For example: After eating your dinner you get sleepy. Its because the blood supply of the stomach increases which leads to a decrease in the blood supply of the brain. Brain then has less oxygen to work with, and hence you feel dizzy. The same principle applies to undernourishment also.

Undernourishment can cause many, many ailments and memory loss is one of them. Your brain must be fed in order to work properly. If you are undernourished or know someone who is, please seek help.
