You're friends don't seem like that good of friends if they don't like you're boyfriend because he is a "nerd" according to them.
Maybe they are jealous of your relationship, or they fear that you'll become to preoccupied with your boyfriend and forget about them. I suggest scheduling a "girl talk" with one of them at a time, and telling them that they are very important to you, and you having a boyfriend will not change y'alls relationship, and that it hurts you that you're best friends can't be happy and supportive to you.
Having a mature discussion could help. Best of luck to you!!

I don't know what other advice you got a few days ago, but alot goes on when our bodies are changing and hormones are doing all kinds of weird things to our minds. Your girlfriends are most likely jealous that you seem happy, or they are too shallow to care about inner qualities.
I would tell my best friends that they are hurting my feelings ragging on the "nerd". Then don't give them a reaction, don't cry, don't pout, don't be mad. Act like you don't care and don't need their approval. Which, in reality, you don't. Peer pressure is strong in H.S. but your life will follow it's own path, and you really, truely have to be true to yourself and what you want. Your goals and dreams are for you to follow and pursue. No one else can make you happy but yourself. If they see that you are really happy, they will stop ganging up or they aren't true friends anyway. Maybe they'll be curious about nerds after that.
Enjoy the nerd. He probably has alot of great qualities. Be happy, go to the dances and the movies or wherever you like to hang out. You'll learn from him. Of course, if this were a teen movie, the nerd has a hunky college brother to introduce you to. Then pretend you are dating both of them at the same time because you simply can not choose between brothers... lol

I know high school is hard, but to solve your problem, you just need to ask yourself some questions. Do you really see yourself spending the rest of your high school career or even college with either your friends or boyfriend? You just need to decide which is more important; do some soul-searching, then base the rest of your actions off of that one decision. But don't be too hasty, take your time; you don't want to regret it later. But I believe, if they were really your friends, then they would back you up no matter what. Don't be afraid to be different. "What's popular isn't always right. What's right isn't always popular."

Well, let me start by saying that so called "nerds" usually go far in life.In 10 years you and your friend will probably look back and laugh at this.Go with your gut feelings. If they are your true friends they'll still be there for you.

if your friends really love you and care about you then they will see that this "nerd" makes you happy and they will accept your relationship. if not, then they can deal with their jealousy. trust me, high school drama only lasts about a week, so you won't have to deal with it very long.

its hard choosing between your friends and your boyfriend. talk to your friends and tell them how your feeling. if your friends want you to be happy they should let you be but when they don't. it seems they don't sound like good friend. tell them he means the world to you and you'll hate it if you and him broke up. that will tear your heart apart.
