Why Celebrities act like their belief system is final. Especially some talk show hosts

A little bit of both maybe. I know a lot of people who are not celebrities and think the exact same way. I think it's more narrow mindedness than anything.

I feel you on that one. Arrogant talk show hosts are the most annoying people ever. No names need be mentioned.

Perhaps this is because celebrities often imagine that they became celebrities out of pure "merit". (In reality, it's more often than not mostly an accident of fate that puts a select few on the pedestal of fame.) With delusions of superiority, it's easy to believe that your opinions are facts.

Perhaps some celebrities believe that because they are so successful in one area, they must be successful and great at EVERYTHING. Like when a famous basketball star decides he's going to be a famous golf star. Or how actors decide they're also great directors, singers, etc. Usually they aren't. But who's gonna tell them this?

Perhaps it's simply because they are human. I'd imagine that the majority of humans, put in their situation, would do the exact same thing. They may not have as big of a soapbox to preach from, but most normal folks tend to think that their belief system is final, just like the celebrities.

Arrogance, of course. Anyone who thinks their belief system is final (celebrity or not) is arrogant.

they are used to being idolized and figure that everything they have to say is as important as them being used for our entertainment. There are a few beleifs or religions that I've heard from stars that I disagree with so who says what they say is final....not if you don't make it final.....ahem tom cruise cough cough

Opinions are just that-and people should be entitled to them-unless these opinions ruin, hurt or destroy others happiness or lives in any way.

If you don't like them, don't watch them. There is a button your TV that changes the channels and will even turn it off. Try it some time.
