Okay, seriously, some of these people are idiots. Why would you answer a question just to tell someone that you think it's "grody" or unattractive, he's asking for advice, not your personal opinion.
This is what you need to consider: do you use hair care products? Other than shampoo and conditioner? You are probably getting the product in your piercing which is leading to irritation. Yes, it hurts. No, you WILL NOT go blind. I would personally take the jewelry out that you have in there now and clean the area VERY WELL with alcohol. Do not use peroxide, it eats away at the metal in the jewelry and can go into your bloodstream. Clean your ORIGINAL jewelry in alcohol also, it is hypoallergenic (the original jewelry) and keep it in there until it heals up.
Put neosporin on the jewelry before your put it back in your eyebrow so it can help heal the inside. When you put product in your hair, make sure you clean your piercing and jewelry with mild soap so you stop getting irritation.
The only time I would worry is if your piercing starts pussing something other than white.... THAT, my friends, is a sign of infection. otherwise, it will be tender for a few months, if not longer.
I do not think that eyebrow piercings are grody, gross, stupid, or otherwise. I do, however, think it is not a good idea to pierce your eyebrow because the muscles are so close to your bone (skull) and you use these muscles all of the time. These muscles will eventually push the piercing out.
Good luck, and the people at the piercing shop, they will tell you the same thing.

The best thing to do is go see the piercer who did it for you. I'm sure they've seen it 100 times and can recommend a course of action for you... seeing your doctor or a dermatologist would not be a bad idea either, if it is getting worse. Otherwise, the piercer who did the work should be able to help. Ask the piercer about suitable jewelry as well... some body jewelry is cheaply made and really not something you want in your body!

First of all, STOP TOUCHING IT!
Wash it twice a day, thoroughly, with mild, unscented anti-bacterial soap and hot water.
If it doesn't start healing within a week, go to a piercing supply store and get some anti-bacterial cleanser.
DON"T take it out, you could heal over the infection and have a bigger problem.

Go to the place that did the piercing and see what they recommend..when having a piercing done it is so important to follow their directions..When i got my naval done they gave me a booklet of info and went over what i was to do to prevent infection..they said i shouldnt really change the piercing unless it was absolutly necessary for at least 6 months.

only touch your piercing after washing your hands with antibacterial soap, and make sure you wash it at least once a day... if not more. also, try soaking it in a mixture of sea salt and warm water. it will draw out the germs that cause infections.

Put ice on it and maybe take a pain reliever, Also use the sea salt spray to help keep it clean and don't touch it too much or else it won't get better.

Put a drawing salve on it from a pharmacy or organic store and if it doesn't go away go get some info from whoever pierced it. If that doesn't work go see your doctor immediately.
