You are opposing elements, fire and air. For opposing elements to work, one has to either be the weaker or the stronger, or be a complementing element, such as air with air, fire with fire. Usually air and fire can complement each other, but you both are strong elements, thus the struggle for power. You would probably find a better match with your opposite sign (not your opposite element) try a Sagittarius if you want the fire, and he should try a Libra if he is attracted to the air.
