When I lived in Hawaii (about 10yrs ago) the Army had ID chips for animals that you implant in them for ID purposes and GPS. I used to joke that they were testing them out before they gave them to us. Probably not a joke, though, huh? I think they're just about everywhere now. I've also heard of this being done in the name of child safety and convenience (basically, you'd be able to get your groceries and stick your arm over the scanner and your bank acct would be debited). Kinda scary. Sounds like end times kinda stuff.

I don't have one and hope I die a quiet peaceful death b4 anyone trys to force one on me. It might be a good idea to get a jump and introduce legislation that this never be a requirement for any purpose like buying and selling just as a wild hair of an idea.
might be cheaper than prisons, there's a scam bussiness that we need to change. Did you see that thing about HS prisons for legal and illegal immigrants, and we think Gitmo was bad, well it was but here and worse sorry I am getting carried away,,, when they bring me back I'll tell ya more,,,let go your hurting me, just haven a white coat does not give you-----

This tecnology is in use in Mexico by 600 high level politicians to get access in high security areas. I have heard that some third world countries are just putting them in newborns, but can't verify that.. Our newer cars can be tracked. Cel phones can be tracked. Public web cams are everywhere. Your car can be stopped by the Govt if they want to bad enough. They can monitor your internet activity and read your mail.. They can monitor your banking activity. They just have to want to bad enough and everything is acessable to them.. We have very little privacy left...
I wouldn't call this a urban legend, the Govt. in the US can't get away with it, but other countries where people do not have rights is another story..

Well sounds to me like we are going to be numbered and that scares me because of my religious belief of not being tatooed or marked. There is a warning about the end times about receiving a mark to do business instead of using money. Read the book 1984 and it's tells all about big brother watching you, really spooky.

Well, you won't like the military then. I don't want to get into it, but the ID card utilised is what you mention above.

I, for one, welcome our new card-reading overlords.
At lease it will be a change from having Visa and Mater Card track my every movement.
