Manual labor is when you work pretty much with your hands,. Intellectual commerce is always the prefered solution!

Although "manual" comes from the Latin word for hand, this phrase means predominantly physical labor, as opposed to mental or intellectual work. It's not just working with your hands. A surgeon works with his hands, but that's not manual labor.

On the other hand, menial jobs also require some brain power.

Manual labor is work you do with your body/hands. It's physical work, not just sitting behind a desk.
