It's not a dump job. They can potentially save lives. Somebody got to do it.

I say go for it! That would be something where in the future you can find other ways to save lives by giving them more time to know there's a tornado coming...or if you're wanting to chase them to see just how much damage they can do simply to be able to tell people how they can protect themselves better and their property, etc.
No I don't think it's a dumb job at all.... someone's got to do it and if it's your dream job...go for it!

You mean people can get paid to do that? I thought it was strictly a hobby type thing. If you have the guts for the risk, I'd say go for it.
