To honest with you the yankees should have been won a world series look at the all star lineup you pay top dollar for these player and what do they do for you nothing get you to the playoffs and go no further then the ALCS every year or every other year but if they don't think the fans are going to be mad the have everything it takes. But I really think the Mets got it right now

Yup! Count on it. 2006 World Series Champions will be the Yankees. Like them or hate them they find a way to win and always play hard. When they don't win it all they are near the top. They just seem to always be there when it matters. Check the numbers of Championships and their lead in the division.

If u look back on history the Yankees go to the WS almost every 2 years and since they didn't get to the WS last year they are going back this year. One thing to remember is that they have play without some of their star players most of the year and still got the second best record, they also swept the Red Sox in a 5 games series putting them out of business. Jeter is going to be the MVP, A-Rod finally seeing the ball and Mussina and Randy Johnson pitching strong right now. The only thing that's going to make them miss the WS is if they get lazy in the playoff. And Porgie don't talk about bad records when Detroit had the best record in the mayors and now they are coming down pretty strong that's how u lose and they known how to do it for the past 10 years.

Yes they have enough to get into the world series. But I think a National League team will win this year. The Mets are very good and I think they will win it all.

I think the question is them getting to the Series because if they get there they'll win. I just don't think any team in the NL can match up to the AL teams. The Mets are the best of the bunch, but with Pedro's health an issue, I'm not feeling too good about them.

There biggest problem is going to be pitching. Can Wang pitch well in October? Will the real Randy Johnson show up? Offensively they're golden (with all-stars on the bench!), but pitching wins in the playoffs.

The Yankees have what it takes, no MLB team is overwhelming this year.

Yankees definitely have the best lineup of the teams that make the American League post-season.

But, wil their pitching hold up? Randy Johnson has a high ERA. Mussina's second-half wasn't as good as his first-half.

Chien-Ming Wang is solid.

The bullpen is good but overworked (Proctor, Bruney, etc.).

Yankees best bets are Mariano Rivera, Derek Jeter, Johnny Damon and Bobby Abreu.

ARod will surely be a rally killer and ground into double plays.

With a team consisting of Big Unit, C. Wang, Mussina, Rivera, Giambi, A-Rod, Jeter, Damon, Sheffield, Matsui, Abreu, Cano, and Cabreba, not only they have enough to make it to the world series, but to win it all!!!

You tell me if they've got enough :
Johnson, Mussina, Wang, Proctor, Giambi, Cano, A-Rod, Jeter, Matsui, Sheffield, Damon, Williams, Cabrera, Abreu, Cairo, Wilson, Rivera.

I can go on but you really don't want me to.

Hey Georgie Porgie, at least we got 26 and haven't been known as the 2nd worst team for the past 10 years.

Of course they do, Matsui is back, ****** is hitting the ball again, we got the MVP Derek Jeter on our team, we will definitely make the World Series.

They have it, but I don't think they will win. I got Mets and Twins in the World Series. Mets win after the Twins finally die out.
