Who's idea was it to do a reality show of spoiled, overindulged brats? We already have enough stupid "reality" shows polluting the airwaves, but why give a forum to a bunch of whiny, spoiled girls who force mommy and/or daddy to spend 5 times the average person's yearly salary just for a birthday party?

Whay say you, o wise and opinionated answerers?

The point of that show, for me, is to fear for the future of this country. First, they're showing all those overindulged brats spending that kind of cash on a party, blatantly promoting materialism and air-headedness. Then they're showing it to all the rest of the young kids, teaching them to be brats (but without the same financial means) like their little idols on that show. It's yet another indication that society is going downhill... and fast!

Yeah, I feel ya. I posted a similar question a few months ago on this board. I think its because people want to see drama. They live and thrive off of people who cause drama and these spoiled kids cause their parents and everyone around them drama. It's so sad watching those rich people spend money like its water when there are starving people who wish they had a cupcake to celebrate their birthday with. The most scarey part is these kids are going to be grown one day and be out here in world with down to earth people like me and you and won't know how to function if the shyt the fan.

i think of they are ALL a team of spoiled brats; whether that is not their fault yet basically the mother and father's fault for giving them what they want while they want it. that is ridiculous that those little ones are having such outrageous events. sixteen isn't on an identical time as significant as 18 or 21 or perhaps 50. that could be a waste of time and funds. What i think of MTV could do is locate DESERVING little ones who want a candy sixteen and make a tutor out of that. no longer some babbling, impolite infants who communicate and manage their mom and father besides they experience.

I know it is ridiculous, probably to make people jealous, I don't really know, but its pretty pathetic when 15, 16 year old kids are getting bmws, and all kinds of expensive stuff, that I won't be able to afford in a lifetime, I guess us normal people are missing out on alot! :(

I think that watching "My Super Sweet Sixteen" is like seeing a car accident. You just have to look, but, you aren't really sure why. I am guilty of tuning in with my teenager and we just laugh at how stupid the parents and the crap that their bratty kids get away with.

To show the world how the other side lives so we regular people can thank god we're not disgusting, overprivileged, irresponsible people. I refuse to watch that show on the premise that it perpetuates the gross part of human nature.

To make my 15 year old daughter and every other one in the U.S. think she should also have a gigantic party. It's not happening, that's for sure and good thing she hasn't asked for one.
