myself and my friend were discusing the other day .why the hell in relationships is it always the males mother thats the mother in-law from hell..........not hardly ever females mother??lol

Maybe because you have woman against woman and with the wifes Mother, you have man against woman? Two woman will butt heads faster then a man and a woman, in an in-law relationship!

It is becasue as young boys we were taught to respect women by those women who you NOW consider Monster-in-law. I fully hear what you are saying, but also understand you are now in charge of the flesh of her loins and SHE does not like that all the time!

so true....i live with mine. i can't stand her.....she likes when i fail at doing motherly things and she likes to point out all the things I should do. I work full time and take care of my kids when I get home. My fiance cleans the house before and after work since he has a different work schdule than me. She has never worked and NEVER cleans.....shouldn't we be complaining?!?!?!
