Caffeine. Those are direct symptoms. Drinking caffeine increases your blood pressure, causes chest pains, and kills the chemical in your brain that induces sleep, causing insomnia.
Quit caffeine if you can, or drink a lot less.

You may have sleep apnea. I would definitely get a checkup and discuss this with your doctor and ask to see a specialist.
I have this type of insomnia without the pounding heart, I take melatonin at bedtime and it really helps. It's a natural substance in the body but with age some people stop making enough. You wake up refreshed with no head-lag like you get with sleeping pills.

If you have a shirt colour size over 17 inches, you over 50 and a little over weight you could have Sleep Apnoea. Go see you GP before you fall asleep at the wheel.

If this is something that has started recently (or over a couple of years) it could be that you have an over active thyroid gland, other symptoms would be a big appetite, unexplained weight loss, hands shaking when you hold them out and an excess of energy.
You should see your doctor anyway.
