An emotional affair is where you share thoughts, dreams and feelings with each other especially if you are not sharing these with your partner.
I would say there are real feelings involved in emotional affair as you are sharing personal things about yourself possibly thoughts and feeling you have, things that others may not know about you. I think if there are others involved who are not part of this affair they could become hurt, in some cases some may think an emotional affair is worse than a physical affair as it can be more personal.

An emotional affair may simply be an affair where only emotions are involved and sex itself doesn't occur between the two people.
It can be a wrenching experience if one person hurts or disappoints the other; if you both care for one another and don't hurt each other then it may actually be quite pleasurable.
It could happen between friends or coworkers or strangers from a chance meeting. Probably there are real feelings involved but that doesn't mean that the relationship will last.
You use the word affair which is usually associated with people cheating on others; that itself is not good at all.

An emotional affair is an affair that is from the heart and yes there are real feelings felt. That is not the affair that you would want your other to be in because no sexual relations are involved but the passion is real. Just hope that this emotional affair doesnt turn into a physical one too, or you maybe as%ed out. If you had to choose one hope they are in a one night stand kind of thing.

The most common emotional affairs come by the way of the Internet and phone or both. Yes the person can have deep feelings for the person and that is what leads to people taking it a step farther and actually meeting up

i was told this once recently on here. i am in a emotional affair now. my best friend (guy) for twelve years we are in love and yes we both have spouses even though i am separated. well how it happened i am separated from my husband and whenever i had pbms i would talk to my bestfriend. but didnt have mushy feelings until recently. he confessed that he loved me and he didnt want to offend me and then eventually i confessed that i loved him back. FEELINGS IS THE WORD! WE MADE LOVE AND HE did oral things to me that my husband can't even compete. it's deep and a mess. his wife knows me and use to confide in me in the past when he was annoying her. (but she doesnt know that we have made love etc)so you see this is an emotional affair big time. but i love him and i really dont care who knows it now. it's my heart decision not my mind or my vagina.

Oh MY GOD! Run and I mean run away from this. Emotional affairs will rip you a part. I am married but I can never get over the woman who took my heart, mind and sole. She is my sole mate but I will never be able to get her out of my mind no matter how far away I live I can and will never get over her!

emotional affrair is purely emotional. Your with someone but fall in love with someone else without any physical relationship. Real feelings are the only thing invovled
