Please expand on his record and how his actions can be considered evil. I take no stance on this subject so don't insult me for asking the question.

Birdsnake: Are you assuming this is common knowledge? Or is that a toungue in cheek judgment.

Asru: read he is evil in someone's earlier "question." Was hoping they were still on to reply. I figured that even if they weren't still on, I would get some responses.

Chavez, Ahmadinejad and Castro (The 3 stooges) are the biggest evils the planet can find. Their country's population lives in poverty, no freedom of expression towards the government, in fact no freedom at all. Just ask those Cubans living in Miami about Castro. The three of them have the same mentality. And yet they have the guts to condemn President Bush, a leader of a democratic nation which does the best to improve the lives of its citizens worldwide. What a bunch of as*holes.

I cant say whether he his "evil" or not. But he lacks common sense and cooth. He doesn't like the US fine he doesn't have to. But You can disagree and a more respectful manner.
How he said what he said was a disgrace to his office and his country. How does that get your opinion across in a credible manner? Or if you want to get a point across to Americans? it also shows a lack of intelligence and diplomacy. As far as I'm concerned the UN is a joke that WE pay for anyways, He want to move it to south America Fine, Let him Shell out the 1.3 Billion it cost the US to support the UN. They do nothing to prevent war and discord anyway, they are a very weak organization that has no manhood.

1. Ask the Venezuelain People. They will tell you straight up.
2. Nobody can talk they way he did in his own country.
3.The Audiencia Nacional (Supreme Tribunal of Justice) de Espana is reported to be discussing charges of crimes against humanity and terrorism that a group of Venezuelans have lodged against President Hugo Chavez Frias and 25 of his collaborators.
The Penal Chamber in Madrid is expected to hear evidence from families of people killed in April 11, 2002 March on Miraflores (and their lawyers) and decide whether to open a trial in Madrid against the accused or pass the matter on to the International Tribunal in the Hague.
Venezuelan lawyer representing the families, William Cardenas says he's not concerned which court tries Chavez Frias so long as the crimes are punished. ... "we have videos and testimonies ... it's all took place in the open ... the first case took place at 4.00 in the afternoon and the other in Plaza Altamira at 7.00 p.m."

I agree with Chavez' idea that US imperialism and capitalism are the root of many of Latin America's problems. I also agree in Latin American solidarity where developing an independent economy is key to success. I am in complete support of the leftist movement that is spreading throughout South America. However, I personally do not believe that Chavez as a person is a good leader, nor do I agree with his tactics. Like Bush, Chavez seems to lack intelligence. I believe that Morales of Bolivia is a much better leader than Chavez and I strongly support Moreles' ideology. He is a great representative of the Bolivian people. In summary, I agree with most of the basic ideas presented by Chavez, but I don't think he is the best leader to be conveying these ideas.

While I would not use the term evil to describe Chavez, he is not a very nice man. He has participated in violence against his countrymen and while elected, he is very autocratic and self-serving. He is an authoritarian and a socialist and his recent rude behavior in our country is something only a Democrat could love. People like him come on scene every once in a while, but since he does not bring out the best in his fellow man, it is unlikely that he will have a lasting influence on our planet.

The fact that he repeatedly vows to destroy the United States. He came to N.Y.C. this week and trashed the President, and the country as being evil. The fact that he is a communist and counts the President of Iran (another demagogue) and Cuban dictator Fidel Castro of Cuba as his "best" friends is also of concern. He controls the Venezuelan state owned Citgo oil corporation which is a major supplier of gasoline/oil in the United States too- so he makes enormous profits from average Americans with which to further his "goal" of destroying the U.S. Whatever your view of the current President and his right wing Republican administration, it still doesn't justify someone making threatening remarks about our country or president. The fact that his alliances are with terroristic or oppressive political regimes shows that he is choosing "evil" over "diplomacy". That makes him evil.

Hey we really know little about Venezuela life.
and Chavez name has not been in the news much until just recently.
BUT
If he came over to your BBQ and he blasted you with the same exact words, that offends a guest, (myself) he would have left with broken jaw and tossed out half naked.
It is next to impossible to find TRUTH in any dictatorship. We just don't know all the facts. But his language has evil in its accent. and Bush has more character just by example and proven fact.
I know I will not support Venezuela while they reject freedom.
Now I see 'Boredstif' has shed light. Bush bashers should take heed. I gota check it out. Bye!

Fox news told them he is.
Chavez is democratically elected and he has more concern for the poor of the world than the US government. He threatens the right wing power hold on this world and that's why they wanna demonize him.
They even call him a terrorist now.How long will it be before they claim he flew those plains on 9/11.He frightens them cos they know he's right.
Viva Chavez

While he is giving millions of dollars to support and expand communism, over 1/3 of his country lives in severe poverty.
The billions of oil money is going to his govt. and not the people.
You surely already know this. It's common knowledge.
