Hi. I would hope for a near miss. This should shift the orbit into a less threatening one.

Scaremongering. The threat has been re-evaluated and you are going on old information.
(89959) 2002 NT7) is a near-Earth object (NEO) that became the first object observed by NASA's NEO program to be assigned a positive rating on the Palermo Technical Impact Hazard Scale for a potential impact date of February 1, 2019. Despite inflammatory press reports, the object has a "low probability" of impact, approximately one in a million.
Further observations of the object have since re-rated the threat lower. As of July 25, 2002, the hazard rating on the Palermo scale had been lowered to -0.25. However, the discovery of an object with an initial hazard rating above 0.0 is still a significant event in the history of the NEO observation program.
On August 1, 2002, the object was removed from the list of objects that present a threat, at least for the next 100 years.

Asteroid 2002NT7 is the name given to the latest extra terrestrial threat and is not to be confused with asteroid 2002WM which scraped by the earth on July the 14th of this year. When the story first broke in late July, the press jumped on it with headlines like "Armageddon in 2019" but astronomers and scientists studying this asteroid now tell us that it PROBABLY WILL NOT hit the earth as first feared.

Out of the depths of my memory, I have pulled this snippet:
Did the moon save us in 1078? There were reports at the time that the newish moon's upper horn went black on the middle. It is now thought that it might have been hit by an asteroid and the impact could have caused some of the wobblw in the moon's orbit around the Earth.

In the time that it took you to log on, get to the question page, type your question, skip the spell check, and press enter, you could have just googled "asteroid 2002 NT7", and got the link below.
But then I'd be short 2 points...
