No it is not correct. In fact UK and US companies would make more profits. Extra man power is being used to produce sophisticated high tech goods which are sold back to the same countries where Uk & US have outsourced. Like we ship one ship load of garments and leather goods to US and US sales us against it a boeing commercial plane to say Kingfisher air lines with a greater profit. Hence the worker in US makes more money.

Define treason.

It is just wrong for companies to outsource US jobs to people overseas. It hurts the people here. Proving that big business is bad for all of us. Big business is sold to the dollar. They will do whatever it takes to make that dollar, even if it sells out the future of every man, woman, child in the USA. There simply is no more love of country. We all love walking into a Walmart or a Home Depot, or some huge mall and having everything at our fingertips and at a reasonable cost. The problem is, doing this requires steps that undermine the well being of our nation and the people who live here.

How is making everything in China wise? Do the Chinese hold our values? Or would they go to war with us in a heartbeat? Walmart? Everything Walmart sells is made in China. Why do companies, HP, CITI BANK, and others all outsource call center calls to India? How much money are they really saving? Truth is, they would sell us all for any savings at all. It is why the man said, the love of money is the root to all evil.

People, a great evil is taking place in our land and people are just too into themselves to stop it. Your children will be paying the price for this. Just so you know who to blame when our nation is forced into paths that are not wise: blame the banks, blame big business, blame those who loved money and did not choose the right over the wrong.

I agree with Benny's answer, but in the long term and from the overall economy point of view. People will be working in new and better jobs.

But, in the short term, some people will definitely lose their jobs.

Some of them will get another one, perhaps with a lower salary.
Others will not get anything, because the new jobs to be created in the USA or UK will demand knowledge that they do not have.

That is why is so important to continue learning new skills to not become obsolete.

That has been happening since centuries. It is Darwin's theory of survival of the most adapted, in an economic scale. Countries that did not allow that natural selection stop the progress...
