In my case:
people on here are mean to me when I ask questions or report me even if I didn't do anything.
I still live with my parents and they don't like the situation
I don't like the situation
I can't get a part-time job because I'm going to school. I'm finishing my stupid degree
I'm poor and don't have enough money to buy anything I want (the happy book says to buy what you want)
I always get frustrated and constantly feel sorry for myself. There's more but I ran out of characters.

OK, it's time to stop the "woe is me" attitude and get on with your life. It's not uncommon to have a woe is me life, but you need to work on "over come the obstacles" life. Perhaps you can begin by getting a part time job. Literally thousands of students work their way thru school. You should too. That would start you on the road to having some spending money to purchase some of your wants and needs. Five years down the road, where do you see yourself? Do something starting today to improve yourself, or you'll still be in the same boat in those five years. Oh, I could go on and on,but, you may be to fragile to grasp the fact that someone wants to help, not insult you. Good luck, you're going to need it...

First off, I hear ya, I've been stuck in a situation or three like yours for some time.....email me if you'd like to chat, maybe swap some horror stories and/or coping strategies. :)

Second. I don't entirely know *why* I keep on keeping on myself, but....

Contrary to anything Tina Turner might have sang, I do think with *me* that Love has something to do with it. Quite simply, I don't think I've *ever* been on the receiving end of unconditional love or *positive* undivided attention in my whole entire life--especially not from my own family.

And that has to change before I die. Again. Because while my memory of my last serious suicide attempt is a bit hazy and delirious, I do recall enough to know that if I *don't* find Love of an unconditional sort before I die, I will *not* know any rest.

Meaning, and this is just a gut feeling, a hunch, but....either I'll end up a bitter, pissed-off old ghost, or I just won't be *allowed* to call it quits until I've known Love. And well, if I want the suffering parts of my life to end, well....you have to admit that not being *allowed* to check out does kinda suck. ;)

Just my two cents, take them as you will.

why don't you try focusing on what you DO have, rather than what you DON'T. . . i know this may be hard, but looking at the things in life that do bring you enjoyment will make you want to go on too. . . there's so much you can do or have regardless of money that will bring you happiness. also, a little tip: when you choose to feel good about yourself, people pick up on it, and they'll think well of you too. if you're filled with self-pity and loathing, others will pick up on that, and they'll think that way about you. the people you come in contact with will reflect the attitude you present. good luck!
