I get confuse when I dig deep into questions... :P

Fire is a chemical reaction between fuel, oxygen and heat.
If you remove any one of those three things and the fire will go out.
The fuel or oxygen may be completely consumed in the chemical reaction and cause the fire to die out.
A fires chemical reaction does not burn it's self, only the individual components in it's chemical equation.
