It would be nice if you had someone to just spend casual time with for company. Going out to the malls, coffee shops, theatres,. etc.

Being 'dumped' tends to lower our self esteem as we've become 1 of a couple. Time to unthink.
Try to stop thinking about your times with him, but recall the things that made you happy before him, and pursue those things, and more, until other people enter your life and fill the voids. Try to be all that you were before him, that attracted him, and others will pick up on it too.
And feel OK about loving for yourself, as you are, not feeling sorry.

Get as active as you can with your other friends. A lot of times people stay alone when they feel hurt .. but do the opposite of how you might be feeling right now .. the more active you are .. the less you will think of him .. eventually.. and the more people you are around the better your chance of finding a new boyfriend. :) Good luck !

i can understand why it's difficult for you to get over him but i dont think anybody can give you tips on how to recover.everything takes time and sooner or later you will reallize that there's a reason for everything and the fact that he dumped you will only make you stronger.he was only your first boyfriend and believe me it will get more challenging everytime.like they say "LOVE IS A BATTLEFIELD".
goodluck and hope you feel better soon!

It takes time. Time heals all. Give yourself 3 months on average. Busy yourself with hobbies, OTHER men, friends, dates, school, work, etc. Gosh, you totally can get over someone FAST.

If you're young, then please allow time to heal this wound.
You have a lot more to live for and more love to give to someone else.
I know it hurts, but I assure you time will mend this.
