how do i disable the light sensors on my sears garage door opener?

put duct tape over them.

be careful you do not disable a safety feature or motor stop function, however. you could cause injury to a person or damage to the motor.

Those sensors are there for safety. Do not disable them. Why do you want to do this anyway? Just curious.

You should not because they are there for a purpose.. but if you want to.. simply disconnect the little wire connecting the units on each side of the door...
