My husband works at a car dealership. His sales manager is the husband to a sales associate. This manager keeps taking deals from husband and gives them to his wife.....I didn't think one family member could work with another and be in charge of them too!!! Anyone know anything about this?

sounds more like an ethics issue than a legal one. just another form of nepotism that happens all the time. Your husband has to decide if he wants to be a whistle blower. If he's not alone, then he might be able to get some of the others to make a case to the owner. This gets tricky as well, but if it is an overall pattern, the average owner would not want this going on, as it costs a lot of money to find good employees (a point your husband can remind the owner of), and that kind of behavior might chase them off.

Is there some kind of law against hiring Husband and wife?

I don't think there's any laws against that. Depends on the business and they're policies. A lot of places will allow Husband and Wife working in the same business but if you're having problems with the issues about how the husband's taking deals and giving them to his wife...perhaps talk to your supervisor/HR about this?
Wish you good luck

There's not a law, but most companies have policies against it due to reasons listed above.

I almost didn't get hired somwhere because my sister worked there....then they hired me but for a different department then her. Also, my mom worked in a different apartment.....no laws evidently.
