Im about to be 37 weeks and i have stretch marks on my hips but not on my belly. i was wondering if I was pretty much done with them or could they still creep up. Has anyone stayed clear almost all the way through and than get them at the end? Thanks

I would think if don't have them now, you won't get them. I always thought they were from the skin stretching and since you're so close to delievery, I'd say you were just about as big as you're going to get. I can't imagine you'd get them now. I think you're safe...CONGRATULATIONS on the baby!!!!

Absolutely, I was 38 weeks preg and it was the night of my baby shower and everyone said "Oh you have no stetch marks how lucky are you" and then the next morning I had them ALL over my stomach, hips, inside my legs and down the front of my legs. So you NEVER know when or if they are ever going to pop out. Sorry to be so negative. But you really never know. Good Luck... :)

I had a friend who never got any stretch marks. Some women don't get any, or get very few because they have a lot of elasticity in their skin. The rest of us get a ton of them all over our bellies as soon as we start to show because our skin just doesn't have that elasticity.

I have had stretch marks throught, but have notice that in the last few weeks I feel like I am getting more and more. I am 39 weeks. Maybe you will get lucky.

Oddly enough, my stretchmarks didn't appear on my belly until after birth, like directly after birth. When my stomach started to go back to normal, they started to appear. Congrats on the new baby, and good luck with the stretch marks. I hope you don't get any!

I just gave birth to my 4th child and I have to small stretch marks on my stomach and they were from the previous pregnency so you are one of the lucky ones. My sister has only one child and is covered with stretch marks on her stomach and hips and everytime she sees my stomach she reminds me of how much she hates me.

they may appear there is no way to know for sure if they will or not until they are actually there but if they do show there are ways to treat and possibly get rid of them.. like creams and ointments and stuff

if you dont have stretch marks on your stomach now you wont get them....congratuations on the baby

I dont have them yet. with my last pregnancy I got them after delivery.
