i agree with the others...but i wanted to give u some other options.
most people just pick a science major (biology, physiology, chemistry, microbiology, etc.), because it overlaps with many of the requirements for med school. but i know if u go this route, u will end up just knowing about science, and some have an interest in other fields like literature, art history, etc. u can go that route too...be a non-science major, but then u have to also take a bunch of science classes (that would fulfill med school requirements). ...which may mean u will be taking more classes than other candidates. however, if u go this route, it could give u an edge over other candidates because it'll make u stand out. there r so many science major pre-meds.
when it comes to finding out about med school requirements...it depends on the school. go to the websites of at least 10 schools u want to go to. they should have a list posted & u can call them to make sure too.

when it comes to classes helping u become a surgeon...there really aren't any as an undergraduate...no intro to surgery type classes. maybe consider taking an intro to pharmacology if ur school offers it. that's an intro drugs/medications. otherwise everything else in undergraduate school is basically science background information...hightly theoretical, & little discussion on how practical it is on an operating table or even in treating patients. actually the closest class to surgery might be an animal physiology class...i don't know what college ur at, but at UCLA i took an animal physiology class that had a dissection component in it. it did require some dexterity to do those dissections, because u had to isolate out a frog's muscle or a frog's nerve or take out a brain-dead turtle's heart. (all freshly killed...don't be sad, they were diseased anyway...had parasites.)

consider doing a research project with a surgeon. (assuming u have researching surgeons at ur college.) he can probably tell u what surgery is like too.

As an undergraduate, you want t omake sure you take all the classes required for medical school. Some schools actually have a premed major -- but many who go on to medical school major in biology or chemistry.

The next step is a four year medical degree, followed by an internship in plastic surgery.

Before medical school, you'll probably get a bachelor's in Biology, or something in that area. Take Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, things like that.
