i have a connection on my personal laptop, however i cant connect to the net. it seems as if the connection isnt being picked up, does anyone have any ideas. i have tried the usual, internet options, lan settings etc....

Is your router on?
Is your connection Wi-Fi or Ethernet?
Have you turned your laptop off & restarted it?
If none of this does any good, then uninstl & re instal your internet software

Try opening your network connections and see if it is disabled or not, if it is then enable by right clicking icon and see if that does the trick. Could be your laptop isn't picking up the IP address.

Call your provider, they generally walk you through the steps of setting up the Internet.
