no i would not change anything. we can not learn if we do not make a mistake. there are many atrocities that happened throughout history, most if not all created a response that helped us move forward in some way.
ah. speculation is so easy...

As much as anyone would like to, there are too many variables. Take assassinating Hitler as an example.

Kill him in WWI, and who knows who else would have risen in his place. they could be worse.

In 1944 project Valkyrie, shortened the War but a lot of people are still dead.

In 1943 as Some believe Rommel wanted and Germany could very well have won.

As a baby, and as "Outer Limits" suggested, he would be replaced by an adoptive baby who followed the same destiny.

In 1939 he could have been a martyr for the cause and inspired even more extreme acts

If you take him out at the best time, and save all the victims, that's a lot of people who are no longer dead what would that do to populations throughout Europe possibly leading to another famine, or a greater influx into the US creating tension here and possibly creating a new Hitler with America and with out the real Hitler as a warning sign who knows how far the American Hitler would rise.

With out the Horror of the Holocaust there would be no state of Israel, and with out the state of Israel, many Jews would likely still be in the region but lack the cohesiveness to defend themselves

While on the surface a Dead Hitler is a great thing there are far too many things that could make the world worse.

Consider the idea of killing Hitler when he was a baby...a very riteous move...right?

You wouldn't dare kill him, haven't you learned not to mess with the space time continuum? Consider the possible consequence. You kill Hitler as a young child, years later, say 1933, Ernst Roehm instead becomes dictator, in mid 1930s,

HE decides to begin 'heavy water' experiments which lead to the first nuclear bomb built in 1939. With that device, he easiliy defeats mother russia and the allies, and the Final Solution is 'completed.' Your mistep in the space time continuum caused the death of ALL European Jewry and enslavement of half the planet...way to go!....

Yeah, I like bringing back MLK,
I like to think of a time in the past with European peoples not coming across the Atlantic to rape, pillage, take away their culture, & murder the Native peoples of this country. But to come here peacefully. I can't see anything negative coming from this change of history, can you?
