I've heard that they did at least one track together. I know they were gonna do an album when Jimi died. However, I think they did at least one track together, and one of my music professors says he has heard it. Does anyone know where on the web I could find it, or even a title to the songs to make it easier to find? Thanks!

They both expressed wanting to play together and they did according to some session musicians, people say they jammed and there have been talks about a master that has some parts of that jam recorded, probably takes from Bitches Brew, but it has been never released, probably the quality is really bad because it was said that master was found in poor condition, fungus damaged the master tape, so its nearly impossible your music professor heard something that has never been released, not even as a bootleg, if this recording would have been in a reasonable condition it would have been pressed and caused a world turmoil, but as it was supposedly so damaged it probably doesnt even exists anymore that if it ever existed so sad because Miles was interested in Jimi's work Miles said that jazz was dying because of Jimi

This was extracted from a mag that had something on it and later on posted on the net

You can clearly hear the reverb on Miles horn that Teo used that clearly isn't on the other instruments. It's probably a snippet from Bitches Brew or Jack Johnson. There's also a live clip in there w/ Chick on piano and Wayne blowing a solo. The Hendrix stuff sounds like one of the jams with Larry Yound on organ and Buddy Miles on drums. Miles also said they never played together only talked about it. I guess this is proof.

I honestly dont think the recordings were ever pressed, not even as a bootleg ..IMO the only ones that heard them jamming were the musicians that were there...and i seriously doubt your professor heard that, perhaps he was lead 2 believe it was.. I belong to the jazz preservation organization and no word ever, and we have rooms full of catalogs and memorabilia, you name it ..i had heard some weird recordings in my life but not one that doesnt exists anymore sorry .. it would have been a great gift to our senses..

Cheers
