Ok well I really want a Myspace, but I used to have one and my mom made me delete it. All og my friend's have a Myspace, Except two of them. I really want one again, but I'm kind of scared because today my godmother sent me a message saying I cannot except your friend request until your mother knows about your myspace, and don't lie about your age either! I don't get it. I just want to do something on the computer. What should I do please help me out!

Don't get a myspace. It's stupid and a waste of time anyway. It gets boring after a while, too. You're way better off without it. Who cares if you're friends have myspaces? You shouldn't care. Just because they have one, doesn't mean that you need one.
And do you feel comfortable going behind your mother's back?

These are the questions you need to ask yourself.

There are PLENTY of other things to do online, trust me.

If you want to get a MySpace, make it private so it's only between your real-life friends and godmother. I know how it is, that it seems like everyone has one but you'll be fine without visiting a site like that. Your mother probably wanted you to delete it for a reason. Anything you can say on MySpace to your friends you can say in real life (which is more meaningful I think), so there's no need. Being your true self is better than who your are on a profile.

If you want a myspace, get one and tell your mom. Tell your real age and set it to private. Don't accept a friend request of anyone you don't know. That is the only way my mom will let my keep mine.

talk to your mom about it. I've got one! My mom knows and it doesn't have a fake age on it, I'm not set to private (i'm 16 so...) but alot of people I'm friends with are. Let your mom know that although there may be a risk, you know what precautions to take, and you won't talk to anyone you don't know (and don't lie to your mom about it DON'T accept from people you've never met!)

there are many people that pretend to be a girl your age and turn out to be a 40 year old male sex offender.

your mother is trying to protect you from being raped or murdered. be smart and do what she says.

even if you don't give out your personal information a lot of the time your friends will.

instead of getting myspace see if your mom will allow you to make your own web site below.
