My computer is Windows XP Home Edition. It is generally quite fast at the moment. If anyone can explain how it will be slowed down, if it is please do.

Adding users to your system should not slow it down in performance, although large numbers of users can certainly slow a windows machine's boot process down (as the security hive of the registry gets larger and takes longer to parse). Of course, every program that writes data to the registry has the same effect.

YES it will slow down the computer IF you have 2 accounts loged on at the same time. The extra strain on the motherboard will slow the computer. But if you want 2 and have them work about the same as before log out when exiting and youll be fine. Hope that helped,

A set of files is added on to the harddrive when creating addional account to the computer. That won't slow down your computer but it could slow down if the new account holder inadvertenly downloaded spywares and adwares.

Check for spywares, adwares and also how much hard drive space you have left.

No slowdown due to extra profiles, just make sure that other person using it doesn't infect the whole PC with spyware/trojans/viruses!

sure because you're in all probability utilising quickly person switching which nevertheless keeps those strategies that the different person replaced into working... so merely use the sign off function to regulate purchasers.... this could help.
