My husband is in Iraq,and I want to do something very special for him,he comes home next year at end of April or the beginning of May.Money is not an issue.

well first of all a big thank you for supporting your man!! my bf gets home from iraq in about 1.5 months. i wanted to do something special for him too but i dont have the means to buy him a brand new truck since we are saving for our wedding next oct. so im going to just make him lasagna and a cake and give him a nice massage. i think he would love a truck but mostly he just wants to hug and cuddle with me and watch movies. why not set up a romantic candle light dinner in your home and a nice warm bath for you guys to share.its sweet and relaxing and he would probobly like that better than a big party.for christmas im going to buy him a brand new set of golf clubs so i think he will like that alot.

I liked the other posters suggestion about a vacation, but the most important thing you can do is be there for him.
Until then, little care packages mean a lot. The don't have to be expensive, but its more important you send them often. I was in the service, and this may seem a little personal or gross to some, but one of the best gifts I got was a pair of her underwear, really sexy ones.
I almost could have flew home from overseas without an airplane.
Cards, notes, letters, and little gifts very often help him know you are thinking of him and how special he is to you.
Thank him for us for what he is doing, its a sacrifice to be away from the ones you love and not everyone appreciates what he is doing.

Go to a private island for a couple hour ,only you and him, walk nude and have sex at the beach, drink the best German wine (ice wine) .its the best thing you can do the first day it is every body fantasy and not all the people cant get it true after that make him a big welcome home party with all friend and family and 5 days before the vacation it is end take a Mediterranean Cruise.

HEY, since your husband is in the military you can get a really big discount on crusies!!!! My husband and I went on a cruise to Mexcio/Central America on Carnival cruise lines. An inside cabin for 1 week was like $250-300 a person.Based on whereever you live so you don't have to fly find the closest port to you so you can just drive to the boat and board, so your only paying for your room!!!!
I think he would enjoy a cruise, its exciting, all you can eat and stops along the way. And you can make month;y payments on it until you go!!!! Check it out!!!!

You should take him on a trip to the Bahamas or something like that...
1. when you get there stay in a nice hotel and rest a little
2. Then bring him to a fancy resturant, maybe you can have the resturant set your table up in aa private room for jus the two of you.
3. One day stay on the beach all day long (if he likes the beach)
Make him feel like the luckist guy in the world.
P.S.- If you have kids bring them along, but when you go out to dinner, get a babysitter or find a nightcare.

Both you and he have my sympathies...he is in a place that is not so nice to be in. IF this is for when he comes home, then make plans and pay for a trip to Hawaii. You two need lots of time to yourselves in an Eden that is as far from Iraq as one could get. But, with things as they are, his time may be upped, so it would be hard to plan this far in advance. I believe you should have a romantic dinner with lighted candle. Then some soft music playing in the background. Or go on a cruise where it is just y'all two to be alone. But it is what ever you find romantic you should do for him

Being a wife myself, and knowing that men like the simple pleasures, I'd say have the house and yard nice, fix him his favorite meal and be in a sexy outfit, this is all he needs. He's been away, so just let him be in his own home with you and good food.

I think that he might enjoy just being home. You might want to throw in some "meet him at the door naked" sex.
I also want to apologize for what rich2481 said. I was very offended by what he said. I sent him an email about what I thought about it.
I have a lot of resepect for what your husband does for me, American, and the rest of the world. I just wish that he showed that he did also.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE YOU LIVE, BUT YOU SAID MONEY IS NOT AN ISSUE. IF HE IS CLOSE TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS HAVE A BIG SURPRISE REUNION SHORTLY AFTER HE GETS HOME. PICK HIS FAVORITE PLACE, HAW., CANADA, ETC.
HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEET YOU THERE AND S HIM. HAVE EVERYONE THERE FOR 3 OR FOUR DAYS AND HAVE PLANNED ACTIVITIES FOR EVERYONE.
SCAVANGER HURTS, BBQ, ETC. YOU GUY STAY A FEW DAYS EXTRA AND ENJOY EACH OTHER ALONE.
