I have an antique 1978 Kawasaki KZ 400b and I cant find a value for it. It needs alot of work it has been kept in my shed for at least 5-6 years. It needs a headlight, horn, probably tires and the carb cleaned or maybe even rebuilt. I was thinking maybe $300.00 would that be fair?

usually $1 per cc is the going price-- you may want to disassemble it and sell the patrs on an auction site? you would probably get more for it selling parts then selling the whole bike (if it needs alot of work)

if someone is willing to take this bike and rebuild it, I would let them have it for ten bucks. 1978 is just old, not antique. A condition of sale would be to let me take a ride after it has been rebuilt.

It probably needs a complete stripdown, new piston rings, valves. The clutch plates may have seized and need replacing. The brake pads and seals, battery, front fork seals, drive chain. If the frame has rusted, it is a write-off.

about right..$200-$300 range but id sell it for a hundred dollar bill just to get rid of it. depending on overall condition and id take the hundred and give it to my old lady.

As far as ebay goes, you can get 500+ if it runs, less (maybe much less) if it doesn't.
