yes it can since the play in the inner will put stress on the outer..it can also chop up a good set of tires in a short period of time..and cause damage to the wheel bearing...

Hey,
No not less than month! A tie rod is simply a joint that binds the steering mechanism together. A bad inner tie rod will cause some "play" on the wheel it is controlling. The worst it can do is make your car drift on the road and cause irregular tire wear.
To make a your vehicle safe replace all your tie rods and check or replace the ball joints then get an alignment.

Yes it can. If you take it to the same shop, I would raise hell and make then pay for some of it, an inner tie-rod doesn't wear out in 1 month!

Jack up the motor vehicle so the front tire clears the floor. Squat down and grab the tire on the backside with the two arms. carry on it so it strikes out and in and spot how plenty play there is. it would be an extremely minute quantity. in case you have dissimilar play you have wiped out tie rod ends. in case you replace the two the interior or the outer you may desire to replace the two on the comparable time.

like your previous answers it's yes, you do not replace just one tie rod you replace all of them that are bad if not all of them. also if the wheels aren't aligned at least make sure your tires are balanced. the shimmy and shake can ruin your tie rods.

No, there is no way that one can cause the other to fail. Lack of grease can do it though. Less than a month then the part should still be under warranty. Kinda sounds fishy to me.IMO
