My self @ 10 would not understand myself today at all.
Isn't that normal, as the brain continues the maturation process?

If I could meet that bad little 10 year old today? I think at 10... I was the baddest little brat in the neighborhood, just filled with evil everything, so I would tell the 10 year old not to worry about being an adult, you will calm down one day and have a beautiful wife and kids and learn like and love people. Oh, but I would warn him about that old Chrysler parked next to Mrs. Crates house - it had a grill filled with the meanest wasp in the neighborhood!

I'm 20, but thinking about how I was at 10, I'd probably just be really curious, and like...stoic about it. Like "Oh, so THAT's how I turn out"
Depending on how much the now-me tells the then-me, there might be some fear (there's a lot of negative in store for 10 year old me), but that's not really disapproval. Possibly some mild disappointment that some of my goals are taking me longer than I thought they would.

When I was ten I was happy-the spectre of depression had never haunted me and I had never descended into the pit of darkest despair. My life seemed sort of programmed for disaster from a very young age and I don't think I could have avoided it even if I knew it was coming.

I would remind myself that the world isnt as small as my parents house and my high school. That this too shall pass, which i now have tatooed on my arm in case i forget.
I moved out when i was 14 which was the right descion, i wish though, that i could have saved myself the pain of feeling to trapped by reminding myself it will turn out okay, and that im my own person and my parents cant hurt me if i dont let them.

a 10 year old would not have the life experience to understand where i am right now in order to judge myself accurately. you have to have the same experinces and level of knowledge in life to be able to understand someone, what they have gone through, where they currently are in life and where they are going. in other words, you have to have been "in that person's shoes." my shoe size has changed considerably since i was ten.

I would think why have i had all those children? How did i learn how to love them? dont i look healthy and pretty is my new house clean and safe? is there any thing to be afraid of of in your house? can i eat what ever i want? do you buy lots of toys and food for your children? do you belt your kids? do you kiss them? do they make you shout and swear? what age am i going to be when someone loves me?
