definitely! Besides the 9/11 turn, I remember being a kid in the 80's and we were able to play outside, go ride off through the neighborhood for the day on our bikes with no worries.

It's a different place now. You have to be susupicious of everyone. I teach my kids that they do not have to be nice to everyone they meet. I teach them to be smart and alert.

From duck and cover in grade school when the Cold War was going on to the first landing of man on the moon to the fall of the Berlin Wall to watching events happen from all over the world as it is happening.
